The Indian squad is working hard in preparation for the forthcoming fifth Test of the current series against England. This series-clinching match will be held on July 31 at The Oval in London, and the Indian team is presently fighting a couple of injuries in its setup. While training a day before the match, sidelined seamer Deepak Chahar was seen practicing with the Indian team at the ground. A video shared by journalist Sahil Malhotra shows Chahar at the venue, although he wasn't wearing the official Indian team training kit. Although Chahar has played for the Indian team in the white-balls formats, he has yet to make his Test debut with the Baggy Blues. It's worth mentioning that star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been omitted due to a toe fracture and Jasprit Bumrah is likely to miss the last match of the series. Consequently, the selectors have included pro batter Narayan Jagadeesan in their team. Hosts England opened the task with aplomb by winning the first match by five wickets. The Indians again turned the tables in style and took a record win in the second Test at Edgbaston. The third Test was once again in the favour of England, while the fourth Test at Manchester was a drawn match. The series stands at 2-1 currently in favor of England, and even a draw at The Kennington Oval will see them win the series. Meanwhile, the Shubman Gill-led team needs to win the next encounter against the Ollie Pope-led team, if they wish to avoid the ignominy of a series loss. The hosts have already decided on their Playing XI for the upcoming encounter, with Ben Stokes missing out on the encounter due to a shoulder injury. There are three additional modifications to the England team besides Stokes, since the pace pair of Brydon Carse and Jofra Archer has been ruled out, while Liam Dawson also stepped out. The four players who replaced the ones leaving are Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue, Jamie Overton, and Jacob Bethell.
