David Warner is positive that India's defeat of 0-3 against New Zealand will benefit Australia in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024 India haven't been at their best in recent days. On Sunday, Rohit Sharma became the first Indian to lose a home test series against New Zealand, that too by 0-3. On the final day of the final Test, India failed to chase 147 runs and fell short of just 25 runs to the Kiwis. The dominance of India in their own country had been somehow demolished. During an interview given to Fox Sports, Warner told, “I look back at that first Test that they played, and they took some amazing catches and that sets the tone. If you are taking catches like that and you get that upper hand and you lead the series one-nil, it’s big. I know how tough it is to win over there. What they’ve just done is absolutely outstanding, and credit to them." Batters trembling will ease the job of bowlers, says Warner None of the Indian batters stood tall, unless it was Rishabh Pant, whose half century got a standing ovation from the Wankhade crowd. The batters trembling on pitch has made Warner believe that bowlers like Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and Nathan Lyon will undoubtedly trouble the Indians. They’re coming out here after being beaten at home three-nil for five Tests against the Australian boys, (who have) three world class quicks and a world class spin bowler, and I’d be nervous if I’m in that batting order. I would be nervous.” India is all set to face Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy, with the first Test to be played at Perth on November 22. The Day-Night Test in Adelaide will start on December 6. The Gabba Test will start on December 14. The Boxing Day and New Year’s Test will begin on December 26 and January 3, respectively.
