David Warner, the flamboyant Australian opener who has had a rich past with Test cricket, has declared himself available for his country in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series against India. Initially, he had walked away from Tests after his team's victory over Pakistan at home but has now decided to come back for the Tests in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy series. Warner said he would relish the opportunity of donning the baggy green again if the selectors wanted him to join the national side. If included in Test plans, then he would seriously think of playing one or two Sheffield Shield games to prepare himself. Let's be honest, the guys have played one red-ball game since their last Test match in February, so I've also had the same preparation." He added: "Honestly, if they need me for the series, I am more than happy to play the next Shield game and go out there and play. I retired for the right reasons, but my hand is up if they desperately need someone. I am not going to shy away from that." Test Career of David Warner David Warner had a phenomenal test career which made him mark a strong entry into the Australia test cricket and soon became one of the most integral Australian players. With 26 centuries and 37 half-centuries, Warner has scored 8786 runs in 112 test matches. In the case of several big wins for Australia, most were contributed to by performances of Warner. Warner eventually retired from Test cricket after the Pakistan series as he was struggling with form and age.
