Dale Steyn, the former South African pacer, has been brought on as a bowling consultant by England to help nurture their youthful fast bowling talent. The pacers for the England Lions will be receiving some serious instruction from Steyn in South Africa beginning next month. The renowned fast bowler from the Proteas, Dale Steyn, will be accompanying England Lions head coach Andrew Flintoff on his debut tour in the role. Steyn will be taking on a temporary position as a mentor, with an emphasis on developing England's young fast bowlers. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) named a 19-man tour squad earlier this month; ten of the players were seam bowlers. Two prominent international cricketers, Pat Brown and Josh Hull, will be in South Africa for a training camp and a four-day match versus South Africa A in Western Province. Bowlers John Turner and Dillon Pennington, who have both been called up to the England national team before, will also be part of this group.
