Rain was a major factor in the IND vs AUS 1st ODI at Perth. Although the game eventually had at least 26 overs from both sides, rain still kept disturbing the game during India's innings. As the bandwagon shifts to Adelaide Oval for the 2nd ODI, rain accompanies it. It has rained heavily in Adelaide in the past week with very little sunlight. Consequently, the Adelaide pitch was moist. With no assistance of the sun, the curator had to use some extra measures to dry the pitch 48 hours ahead of the 2nd ODI on Thursday. According to a Revsportz report, the pitch curator in Adelaide used heat lamps on the centre wicket to dry them as there is 99% probability of rain up to Tuesday night. The best pitch of the series is usually available at Adelaide Oval in Australia. The pitch tends to provide a flat track with even bounce. But for IND vs AUS 2nd ODI, it may be slightly different. With plenty of rain on Monday and Tuesday expected, the pitch will be under covers. Even though, the Thursday forecast is excellent with plenty of sunlight, the point that the pitch would be under cover for more than 48 hours prior to match day, there will be dampness.
