Injury concerns plague the Chennai Super Kings during IPL 2026 as the franchise is dealt another blow with yet another player getting ruled out of the tournament. The latest blow comes after Ramakrishna Ghosh picked up a severe injury in the CSK-MI clash. The youngster made his IPL debut on Saturday, and unfortunately, the promising stint had to end right away. Ghosh has suffered a fracture in his right foot during the game and the same has ruled him out of the tournament for the rest of its duration. The CSK franchise shared the sad update on their social media but have not announced a replacement for the same. Dream IPL Debut Turns into a Nightmare Ghosh was a player that every CSK fan would be looking forward to seeing in action for a long time. However, it's tough to find positives out of a debut which has turned into a nightmare due to the injury. Ghosh managed to scalp one wicket and his figures read 1/24 in 3 overs and in the fielding he was able to get rid of dangerous batter Will Jacks early with an incredible diving catch. However, cameras caught the young bowler hobbling during the match after completing his spell, and the injury was soon diagnosed as a fracture in the right foot, confirming the worst. Explained Injury Woes Continue for CSK Ghosh is not the only player sidelined by injuries. Chennai Super Kings have already had a number of injuries throughout this season with Nathan Ellis, Khaleel Ahmed and Ayush Mhatre all sidelined through injury. MS Dhoni has still to play in a match this season and players Spencer Johnson and Dewald Brevis have also been missing from action. They have managed to secure an important victory against Mumbai Indians in their last match, giving themselves a chance of qualifying for the playoff stages. The team are currently in sixth position with 8 points out of 9 matches. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad is in fine form and has hit back to back half-centuries. He scored 67 not out in their last match, along with Kartik Sharma who got 54 not out as they secured the win.
