The 2025 Asia Cup is just a day away from its conclusion. India and Pakistan will be playing the final, facing each other for the third time in the tournament- a duel that has created enough drama in the tournament. In such a scenario, India saw dark clouds, as two of their important players Abhishek Sharma and Hardik Pandya suffered cramps and were not visible for most of the time while fielding. During the Super Four match between India and Sri Lanka Hardik was seen leaving the field clutching his left hamstring. This happened after Pandya dismissed Kusal Mendis for a duck in the first over. Pandya left and did not come back for the rest of the match. Following the match, Morne Morkel, the bowling coach, addressed the press conference, saying he can't confirm anything unless the reports are coming. Morkel said, "Hardik had cramps; he will be assessed tonight and tomorrow morning. We will then take a call on that." He walked out holding his right thigh. Since then, Abhishek has been sitting outside receiving ice treatments and sipping pickle juice. Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma came to the field alternately as substitute fielders. Even Tilak Varma had a hydration break in the middle. Speaking about the player's recharge, Morkel said, that they will have ice bath and pool sessions for recovery. He said, “The key for the boys is to rest. They’re in an ice bath already. The recovery started straight after the match. The best way to recover is to sleep and stay off your feet. Hopefully, they can get a good night’s sleep." He added, "There will be individual pool sessions for the guys organised. Then some massages before they get mentally ready for the big battle on Sunday. It’s a quick turnaround, and playing smart is going to be the key."
