One of the most explosive batters in the shortest format of the game, Chris Lynn, has returned to Adelaide Strikers, but this time with the full commitment to play the entire Big Bash League 2025-26 season. As reported by ESPNcricinfo, the 35-year-old batter has signed a new one-year deal with the franchise and is set to return to the 15th edition for the entire tournament. Lynn had a terrific T20 season in the UK, where he powered Hampshire to win their semi-final match against Northamptonshire with his powerful, unbeaten 108-run knock from just 51 deliveries. After returning to the Strikers, Lynn expressed his joy at playing for the franchise for the fourth time. He is hoping to contribute some good runs for the team in the upcoming edition. Lynn, 35, is just 45 runs away from becoming the first batter in the tournament’s history to reach the 4000-run milestone. As quoted by ESPNcricinfo, Lynn said: "I'm really looking forward to getting back to Adelaide Oval and helping the team go deep into finals this year," he said. "We've got an exciting squad this season and I can't wait to see what we can produce when we take to the field." It is worth mentioning that, despite playing for Adelaide Strikers in the past, Lynn has not played an entire season for the franchise due to several reasons. His starting two seasons were based on a short-term contract, which allowed him to feature in the ILT20 in the UAE. He featured in only 7 matches for the team after suffering a hamstring injury.
