Jitesh Sharma, the new inclusion of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, seemed to be very confident since the first day; the show is yet to be relieved with the bat. In the last match, against KKR, he took a few stunning catches, but his bat is not reflecting his confidence. Today, against Chennai Super Kings, he scored just 12 runs off 6 balls, which included a four and a six. But the real click was yet to come. While he was leaving, the Chennai DJ played the trending "Dosa, Sambhar, Chutney, Chutney" Song. Quite understandably, the DJ was mocking him. But when did it start? Previously, while RCB was waiting in the airport before departing for Chennai, the RCB admin asked each of the players to describe Chennai. When Jitesh's turn came, he made fun singing the song. And quite understandably, the DJ gave it back to Jitesh in his own way. The innings was anchored by Rajat Patidar, who played a captain’s knock, scoring 51 off 32 balls at a strike rate of 159.37. Phil Salt provided an explosive start with a 16-ball 32, striking at 200.00, while Virat Kohli played a steady knock of 31 off 30 balls. Devdutt Padikkal contributed a quick 27 off 14, but wickets fell at crucial moments. Tim David finished strong with an unbeaten 22 off just 8 balls, maintaining an impressive 275.00 strike rate. Among the bowlers, Noor Ahmad was particularly effective, dismissing Salt, Kohli, and Livingstone. The batting lineup showed aggression, but losing wickets at regular intervals prevented them from crossing the 200-run mark. With a decent total on board, RCB will now look to defend it with a disciplined bowling effort.
