The Rajasthan Royals have been desperate for runs today against the Lucknow Super Giants after their recurring loss of wickets. One such instance of desperation was seen in the 15th over, when Donovan Ferreira was almost on the edge of sustaining a run-out. A bit of yes-no between Ravindra Jadeja and Ferreira made the latter roll into this crease just a second before the ball smashed the stumps. The batters were trying to steal two runs. Even though the first run was safe, the second run created the chaos. Nicholas Pooran at backward square leg threw the ball, but way wider. Rishabh gave a dive but landed on the ball itself. But at that time Mukul Choudhary has reached the stumps. Rishabh yet managed to pick up the ball and throw it toward Mukul. The latter caught it and hit the stumps. But by that, Ferriera was an inch inside his crease. However, while throwing the ball towards Mukul, the stumps light lit up right when the ball passed. The batter was not even in the picture then. However, later itwas figured out that it was Mukul's hand that lit the stumps' light, even without the ball in his hand Watch the video here: Chaos in the middle 😬But all safe for Rajasthan Royals in the end. 😅#TATAIPL 2026 | #LSGvRR | LIVE NOW 👉🏻 https://t.co/PNPfcFt2z9 pic.twitter.com/Z6zNO3LZJ6 — Star Sports (@StarSportsIndia) April 22, 2026 Read also: Watch: Rishabh Pant Flying One-Handed Catch Dismisses Yashasvi Jaiswal in IPL 2026 Rajasthan Royals post 159 amidst recurring collapse Being sent to bat first, Rajasthan Royals posted 159/6 in 20 overs, scoring at 7.95 runs per over, but their innings was defined by early setbacks and a late recovery. The top order faltered quickly as Yashasvi Jaiswal (22 off 12) provided a brisk start before a collapse reduced them to 32/3 inside four overs. Dhruv Jurel fell for a duck, while Vaibhav Sooryavanshi struggled at 8 off 11, exposing the middle order early. Captain Riyan Parag (20 off 19) and Shimron Hetmyer (22 off 18) attempted a rebuild, but neither converted starts, leaving RR at 77/5 in 10.2 overs. The turnaround came through Ravindra Jadeja, whose unbeaten 43 off 29 anchored the innings. He found support from Donovan Ferreira (20) and Shubham Dubey (19* off 11), helping RR add 49 runs in the final five overs. Among bowlers, Mohsin Khan stood out with an economical 2/17, while Mohammed Shami and Prince Yadav picked up two wickets each.
