The Cricket Association of Bengal has approached BCCI to grant them the right to host the final match of the 2025 Indian Premier League. Initially scheduled in Kolkata's Eden Gardens on May 25, the match has been shifted to Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on June 3. The reason provided behind the shift was the possible rains in Kolkata during the season. Following that, the CAB, who had earlier visited the Kolkata Meteorological Office, headed towards the BCCI, pleading to overturn the decision. The meteorological department was asked about the weather forecast on June 3, to which the officials said that it is not possible to predict early, and this has ignited hopes for CAB. In an statement released by the Bengal Board, they said, "We remain confident that things will work out because we have done a very good job in organising everything. Also, you can’t predict weather patterns so early, and we have submitted all official documents to this effect."
