The game was played within a tri-nation series involving Turkey, Bulgaria, and Gibraltar. Bulgaria stunned all in the fourth match of the series as they chased Gibraltar's massive score in a cakewalk. Even though they lost their captain Locov in the early stages, who made 19 off 13 balls, Isa Zaroo and Milenm Goev continued the chase in full swing. Zaroo made 69 runs, and Goev hammered 69 runs off a mere 27 balls with a strike rate of 255.56. Then there was Manan Bashir, who took the game away from Gibraltar altogether. He played an incredible 70 runs off only 21 balls at a strike rate of 333.33. His match-winning innings led Bulgaria to victory with 5.4 overs to spare. With this victory, Bulgaria toppled Serbia's recent record for pursuing 200 runs in 14.1 overs. That was against Slovenia. Bulgaria is now first for the quickest successful 200+ chase. Punjab Kings are third with their 262-run pursuit in IPL 2024 against Kolkata Knight Riders within 18.4 overs.
