Amidst tensions regarding the Pahalgam attack and aftermath, the Cricket Association of Bengal has received bomb threats on their official email account. This happened right on the day India launched Operation Sindoor as an answer to the heinous attack on innocent Hindu tourists at Pahalgam. As per the mail, it said to demolish Eden Gardens by dropping a bomb on it. Soon after CAB received the threat, they informed Kolkata Police. In such a heated condition, Kolkata Police made no delay and enhanced the security in the stadium. They deployed more police personnel at the boundary too. Regarding this, CAB President Snehashis Ganguly said that he did not want to risk the safety, especially with whatever is happening at the cross-border. He said, "We did not want to take any risk. The police have been informed. They took whatever necessary steps."
