He also made history by becoming the youngest player ever to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). On top of that, he became the youngest player to score a T20 century. Playing for Sanskriti Cricket Academy in a 30-over match in Muzaffarpur, Ayan scored 327 runs off 134 balls. He hammered 63 boundaries, which included 41 fours and 22 sixes. His strike rate was 244.02. Of his 327 runs, 296 from boundary shots, which reflects how outright attacking his game was. It's T20 cricket that is forcing the young player to play more aggressively, so when someone like Suryavanshi is around, it just makes a world of difference. Ayan Wants to Be Like Suryavanshi Like Tamil Nadu's Sai Sudharsan, who got inspiration from Washington Sundar, Ayan asserts that he's also taking the same route as somebody from his state. Washington debuted for India in 2017 when young, and Ayan wants to follow the same pattern, getting inspiration from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who made his IPL debut at the age of 14. In an interaction with News18, Ayan said: “Every time I talk to Vaibhav bhai, I get a special feeling. We used to play together when we were younger. Today, he has made a big name for himself, and I’m also following in his footsteps."
