On Day 3 of the third Test between India and England at the Lord’s Cricket Ground, Nitish Kumar Reddy's gritty stay at the crease came to an abrupt end in the 94.3 over. Facing Ben Stokes, Reddy was undone by a sharp delivery that rose awkwardly from a good length. The ball kicked up unexpectedly, rearing towards his gloves just as he committed to a defensive stroke. It clipped his glove and flew to the wicketkeeper, who made no mistake. The ball not only bounced sharply but also deviated off the surface, making it nearly unplayable.
