The BCCI is on the lookout for a spin bowling coach to be based at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The job is pivotal in aiding India’s spin bowlers enhance their skills across all formats and age groups. Sairaj Bahutule was the previous coach for spin bowling at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru, and the new coach will be taking over his job. Bahutule recently joined the Rajasthan Royals as their spin bowling coach for the IPL 2025 season. The spin bowling coach will be working closely with VVS Laxman, the Head of Cricket at the Centre of Excellence. They will work together to create and execute bespoke coaching programs and monitor players' progress. The coach will collaborate with selectors, national and state coaches, performance experts, and fitness specialists to produce high-performance training plans. In addition, it would also support players from state associations training at the Centre. The deadline for applications is 5 pm on 10 April 2025. Candidates must either be former Indian cricketers or must have played at least 75 first-class matches in India. They should have at least three years' coaching experience within the last seven years at a high-performance centre such as an international side, India A, India U-19, India Women, or an IPL franchise. The candidates should also be BCCI COE Level 3 or Level 2 Performance Coach degree holders or its equivalent, with demonstrable experience in the delivery of high-performance and player development programmes.
