The Board of Cricket Control of India has been quite irritated with the tantrums from Pakistan Cricket Board chief Mohsin Naqvi, who is also the President of the Asian Cricket Council. Naqvi, who has been continuing the India vs. Pakistan drama, has now confiscated the Asia Cup Trophy and has locked it in Dubai. BCCI, being the official host of the tournament, is pretty annoyed with Naqvi's attitude. And now, the board is plotting to "censor" Naqvi and even remove him from the post of Director in ICC. A report from PTI said this and quoted a source saying, “It remains to be seen what will be the long term ramifications for the PCB or Naqvi because the BCCI is clear he (Naqvi) didn’t have any right to insist on handing the trophy himself to the Indian team and refusing to send it to the BCCI who were official hosts of the event." Even though they did not deny the trophy, a stubborn Naqvi walked out from the stadium, having an event staff following him with the trophy. BCCI later claimed that Naqvi fled with the trophy and the winners' medals. This was later confirmed as Naqvi, in an ICC meeting, denied returning it, saying unless Surya comes, he won't give it. Now, nqvi has further warned not to take anything from the locker without his permission. India’s refusal to engage with Pakistan players sparked controversy in the regional tournament.
