The Board of Control for Cricket in India has replaced India's women's cricket team's upcoming white-ball tour of Bangladesh with a 5-match T20I series against the Sri Lanka women's cricket team at home. The series will be the first outing for Harmanpreet Kaur and co. since they won the 2025 Women's Cricket World Cup. As per RevSportz, the T20I series is scheduled to take place in two venues, namely Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram, from December 21 to 30. The first two matches are set to be held at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, while the remaining ones will be at the Greenfield International Stadium. The BCCI, in fact, had written to the BCB, asking for the series to be rescheduled to a later date. In August, the board had postponed the men's white-ball tour to 2026. There has been no confirmation over the reason behind India's pullout, but it could very well be because of the diplomatic tensions between the Indian and Bangladeshi governments.
