Born in Tajpur village in Samastipur, Bihar, Sooryavanshi had started playing cricket at the age of 9, being coached by his father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, who had seen talent in him. He was playing with senior players when he was just 10, and everyone was left amazed by his performance. Vaibhav appeared in the Cooch Behar Trophy 2023 where he scored 151 runs off 128 balls against Jharkhand. His exploits were further seen in a quadrangular series played between India U19 A, India U19 B, England U19, and Bangladesh U19. He went on to set up a reputation for himself as an exciting prospect. A century on the international circuit for the lad just at the age of 13 years and 188 days proved a remarkable feat as Vaibhav did that to bring victory to his side in an India Under-19 Youth Test against Australia at Chepauk Stadium, which left him with being the second fastest U19 Tests century after Moeen Ali's 56-ball century way back in 2005. India looks pretty good with their Under-19 squad in the Asia Cup. Players like Vaibhav will be the focus of the new edition of the game.
