Harry Brook has once again withdrawn from the Indian Premier League, prioritizing his national commitments over franchise cricket. This marks the second consecutive season he has pulled out, despite being bought by Delhi Capitals for ₹6.25 crore in the 2025 auction. In the previous season, Delhi had secured him for ₹4 crore, but he opted out following a personal loss. Brook’s decision comes as he aims to focus on England’s upcoming international assignments. The young batter has had a packed schedule and feels the need to recharge before stepping into a crucial phase for England cricket. His absence will be a setback for Delhi, who had invested in him despite last season’s withdrawal. With the IPL set to begin on March 22, Delhi Capitals may now look for a replacement. The opening match will see Kolkata Knight Riders take on Royal Challengers Bangalore at Eden Gardens.
