After the departure of Soham Desai, the BCCI appointed Punjab Kings' Adrian Le Roux as the strength and conditioning coach for the Indian men's cricket team. Adrian has been serving Punjab Kings for the last six years and was with the team in the 2025 Indian Premier League, where they put up a gallant show and ended as runners-up. However, this is not the first time he signed a deal with BCCI. Earlier, from January 2002 to March 2003, he was with the Indian team. Not only that, he worked with Kolkata Knight Riders from 2008 to 2019 before coming to Punjab Kings. During his tenure with Kolkata, he saw "captain" Gautam Gambhir leading the franchise to two IPL trophies in 2012 and 2014. On being appointed by BCCI, Adrian sheds light on his days with Punjab Kings and wrote on his Instagram, "And with that a 6-year journey with the @punjabkingsipl comes to an end. Went all the way to the final this season. Fell just short, and yes that really hurt. But I'm incredibly proud of the team, the way we prepared, the way we played and how we fought right to the end." He added, "Punjab Kings are in a good place and in good hands. That makes me happy. Until we meet again."
