But Basit Ali thinks Rishbah's shot selection may double it up if needed. In the last test against New Zealand in Mumbai, it was Pant alone who shone among the shattered and defeated Indian batting lineup. It was him and his shots that made the pitch look flat, giving hope to the fans. Basit said on his YouTube channel, "Rishabh Pant scored 60 in the first innings and 64 in the second. What can I say about this kid? People say he should go for INR 25 crore in the IPL auction. However, I think he should be sold for INR 50 crore. When he batted on this pitch, it seemed like a flat track. He hit wherever he wanted to but his shot selection was good." Big players in auction pool, with teams to give good fight Players like Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and the IPL-winning captain Shreyas Iyer will be in the auction pool. All these players have a high possibility of triggering bid wars; however, Pant's can be the main attraction. Teams like Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru haven't used all their Right to Match cards, thus entering the auction with huge purses of, respectively, Rs 110.5 crore and Rs 83 crore. Possibility of Clashes Pant may prioritize peace over money. There are sayings that he is not happy with Hemang Badani as the head coach and Y Venugopal Rao as the team director of DC. Also, his powers have been curbed by co-owners GMR, who will look after the franchise for the next two years.
