Odisha's Barabati Stadium will be provided with tight security for Sunday's ODI match against England. Cuttack will be hosting an ODI match after a long gap since October 2019. Several officials have informed that the stadium will undergo beautification, sanitation, and fogging operations in the stadium's proximity. On Tuesday, the Odisha Cricket Association and the Cuttack Municipal Corporation attended a high-profile meeting along with the Odisha Olympic Association. The state's police and health departments are finalizing the stadium's necessities before the second ODI of the three-match series. Deputy Commissioner of Police Jagmohan Meena stated, “The entry and exit of people will be regulated through four designated gates, with personnel stationed to manage security and sanitation." To ensure public health and emergency preparedness, the district health department will deploy ambulances and medical teams on match day. Additionally, food safety officers will monitor hygiene standards at food stalls to maintain quality and prevent health risks. For smooth spectator movement, special bus services will operate from key locations, including Cuttack’s Netaji Bus Terminus, Trishulia, and the railway station. Notably, after the five-match T20 series, India will be hosting England for a three-match ODI series. The first one will be played at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur, on February 6. The second will be hosted at Cuttack on the 9th, while the third and final one has been scheduled for February 12 at Ahmedabad's Naredra Modi Stadium.
