India were to fly to Bangladesh for a multi-format series in August. The series was to be India's first white-ball engagement following the Champions Trophy 2025 triumph, which they won for the third time. But the latest news has come which states that the Bangladesh series will be abandoned in the face of increasing political tensions between either of the regimes. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has also suspended selling its media and broadcasting rights for the series. The board, however, has indicated that if the series is held later, the sale of rights will not be an issue because the participation of the Indian team is an assured return to the broadcasters and media right holders. Here is what BCB officials told, according to Cricbuzz "We will continue, we will take time to research the market. There is no point in rushing things. We can give different contracts," "The date for the India series hasn't been fixed yet. They (the BCCI) said it's difficult for them to come in August. This is part of FTP. We asked to sell the rights for only the Pakistan series. Then take your time. Because we don't have time. There is no time for the Pakistan series," the official from the board said further.
