A blistering spell by Nahid Rana has put the Pakistan team under immense pressure in the first ODI of the Pakistan tour of Bangladesh 2026. Bowling first after the toss landed in favour of the Bangladesh skipper Mehidy Hasan Miraz as Pakistan struggled against a strong bowling attack. The early overs went poorly for the Pakistan as they continued to lose wickets in clusters, and Rana was instrumental in dismantling their batting order, registering a career-best 5 for 24 in 7 overs. This spell helped Bangladesh reduce the Pakistan national cricket team to 81 for 8 in just 22.5 overs. Nahid Rana Dismantles the Pakistan Top Order Rana's dominance began with the dismissal of opener Sahibzada Farhan, who scored 27 off 38 balls. He was caught by Afif Hossain after attempting to build an innings. Rana soon added the wickets of Maaz Sadaqat (18 runs) and Shamyl Hussain (4 runs). Mohammad Rizwan, who managed just 10 runs, became Rana's fourth victim. His five-wicket haul was completed with the dismissal of Salman Agha, making it his best bowling performance in an ODI. The accurate pace and good line by Rana proved difficult to negotiate for the Pakistan batters. What a phenomenal moment on the field!
