The tournament concerns 20 teams divided into four groups and will feature a few big names in the T20 format. With Babar and Naseem missing these, they lost a chance to prove themselves with their cricket skills. The men in green are just done with the Champions Trophy, suffering two defeats in a row and an easy elimination from the tournament hosted by their own country. Amidst a lot of criticism, several big names were dropped from the Pakistan squad for the series against New Zealand, which includes Babar's and Naseem's. With Babar and Naseem missing the Nation's T20 Cup, they lost a chance to prove themselves with their cricket skills. Meanwhile, the tournament will kickstart on March 14, with a nice blend of seniors and upcoming stars. Like India, Pakistan will also be celebrating the T20 fever with multiple T20 leagues piling up. Babar managed just one slow-paced half-century against New Zealand and fell cheaply against India. Pakistan's early exits, coupled with losses and a rain-washed match against Bangladesh, saw them finish at the bottom of Group A. Naseem Shah also had an underwhelming tournament, claiming only two wickets in two matches at an economy rate of 5.55 and an average of 50, with his best figures being 2/63. Babar's last T20I appearance was in December 2024. Despite his strong overall record, he has failed to cross the 50-run mark in his last 11 innings. Similarly, Naseem Shah has delivered average performances in the format, securing only 10 wickets in his previous 10 matches.
