Cricket Australia has made some big changes to their ODI team as they prepare for their three match series against Bangladesh. Both Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh along with Tanveer Sangha have been pulled from the tour meaning the selectors have had to fly in some replacements ahead of the series. Australia have come into the Bangladesh tour after a disappointing ODI series against Pakistan winning the second of the three matches but going on to lose the series after a four wicket win for Pakistan sealed their series victory. The squad changes come as a setback with two experienced players and a young spin bowler unavailable for various reasons. Travis Head will be taking extended personal leave and therefore will be missing both the ODI and T20I legs of the tour to Bangladesh. The left-handed batsman was also absent from Pakistan ODI series due to personal reasons after his stint in the IPL with the Sunrisers Hyderabad was concluded. Explaining why Head has not been included national selector Tony Dodemaide said, Travis was initially selected in the ODI and T20I legs of this Bangladesh tour but has subsequently been granted personal leave for both. We look forward to seeing him again for the top end Test Series against Bangladesh. Mitchel Marsh has also been forced to miss the ODI series as he is still recuperating from an ankle injury that has ruled him out of this ODI series with the selectors confirming that Matthew Short is the replacement in the squad. Tony Dodemaide added : "We were hopeful Mitch Marsh would be available for the Bangladesh ODI series however he is still returning to full fitness from an ankle injury. Mitch will join the group in Dhaka and begin preparations for the T20I Series." The Australian team are still yet to announce the replacement for Travis Head in the squad, however young batsman Oliver Peake has been asked to join the group and is the expected replacement for Head. Spinner Tanveer Sangha has also been unavailable for the tour after a hamstring injury whilst on tour in Pakistan, with his place going to off-spinner Todd Murphy who has yet to make his ODI debut however has featured in seven tests for Australia with a bowling average of 4.92 with the ball. With Josh Inglis taking charge in the absence of Marsh he will be looking to put in an outstanding display following a below-par performance in Pakistan.
