Kolkata Knight Riders had roped in Cameron Green for an enormous sum of 25.20 crore to cover the absence of Andre Russell in the all-rounder department. However the Australian all-rounder didn't get to bowl any deliveries in the game as Mumbai Indians comfortably chased the target set. The reason for the same can be attributed to Green's previous injuries,Cricket Australia wants to be sure about the all-rounder's load which has happened previously when the likes of Mitchell Marsh were cleared for playing in IPL but not for bowling. Captain Ajinkya Rahane led from the front scoring a half-century along with a 50 from Angkrish Raghuvanshi. However, it was the bowling which faltered for KKR as it looked inexperienced and they couldn't hold down the Mumbai Indians. Bowling would have given Green an opportunity to add balance to the KKR team but without clearance, it couldn't have happened. The Kolkata Knight Riders will be looking forward to getting clearance for their star all-rounder so that he can contribute to the bowling of the side as he was picked as an all-rounder for the colossal sum.
