India and Pakistan are to confront each other in the 2025 Asia Cup final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, September 28. The two teams will face each other in the finals of the Asia Cup for the first time. India have enjoyed the better of against Pakistan in the current Asia Cup, having outclassed the Men in Green twice in two encounters. Suryakumar Yadav's side is yet to lose a match in the tournament, having won six on the bounce. No game has been disrupted by rain so far. But many fans have been speculating about what would happen if the final gets washed away. As per Asian Cricket Council (ACC) regulations for the multi-nation tournament, the trophy will be divided between the finalists in the event of the match resulting in a No result because of rain or any other factor. There has never been such a case in the Asia Cup when the teams shared the trophy like India and Sri Lanka shared in the 2002 Champions Trophy final. The reserve day is Monday, September 29. In case play is not feasible or the game is postponed on the initial match date, September 28, the match will be moved to the following day. India come into this confrontation on the strength of a spine-tingling victory over Sri Lanka in the Super Over on Friday. Abhishek Sharma, the best batter to have performed in this tournament, hit a stunning half-century to take India to 202/5 in 20 overs. Pathum Nissanka's debut T20I century, however, ensured Sri Lanka leveled the scores. The Men in Blue emerged victorious in the Super Over in the end. In the meantime, Pakistan beat Bangladesh in a virtual semi-final match on Thursday to qualify for the final. They were limited to 135/8 after they were asked to bat first. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Saim Ayub, though, bowled magical spells to restrict Bangladesh to 124/9.
