In the previous T20 edition, Sri Lanka bagged approximately USD 200,000 (around ₹1.6 crore) for their victory. Now the winning amount is set to increase to about USD 300,000 (close to ₹2.6 crore). The hike provides additional motivation to all the participating countries, thus this edition turns out to be even more competitive. If India can successfully defend their title, they will earn a significantly bigger paycheck than in years past. Oman and the UAE are not as experienced as relatively less of a team, but the battle against Pakistan will be one of the most-watched games of the tournament. India will kickstart their campaign against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 10, then square off against Pakistan in a high-voltage encounter on September 14 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium (DICS). They will play their third and last group game against Oman on September 19. With a well-balanced team and great stakes at hand, India's journey to the Super Four rounds appears promising, but they will need to maintain the consistency in their performance to regain their glory in the shortest version of the continental tournament.
