The India-Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 showdown is already making humongous waves among fans. The game on September 14 in Dubai will be the first encounter between the two nations after the debacle in the wake of Operation Sindoor. Although there are some fans and former cricketers who have suggested a boycott of the game on social media, ticket bookings have been massive. Even before the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) opened up ticket sales officially, various third-party websites have already listed tickets at astounding prices. Reports indicate that prices range from ₹26,256 (AED 1,100) to ₹15.75 lakh (AED 66,000) for 2 VIP seats. ACC Issues Warning Over Black Market Tickets An official said that the ticket sales will open in two days. Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) COO Subhan Ahmed has requested fans not to purchase tickets from unofficial websites. "The Asian Cricket Council and ECB have issued alerts advising fans to buy tickets only from official channels once sales open," he said. Tickets are also being traded online for other Asia Cup matches, such as India vs UAE and India vs Oman. Some sites have even posted tickets for potential Super 4 matches and even a potential India-Pakistan final on September 28. This promotion is in spite of political tensions between both nations. Pakistan's hockey team had recently declined to go to India for the Asia Cup in hockey, but India cleared its cricket team to play Pakistan in multinational competitions. Both cricket boards have mutually consented to India-Pakistan matches being played at neutral sites, irrespective of the nation hosting the event. Post the Asia Cup, the battle will continue with the India Women's team playing Pakistan in the Women's World Cup on October 5 in Colombo. The men's teams will also square off at a neutral venue during the T20 World Cup 2026. With official sales not yet begun, fans of cricket are requested to patiently wait for authorized ticketing outlets to prevent scams and overpriced tickets.
