Arshdeep Singh has so far played eight ODIs and 62 T20Is for India. The left-arm seamer has not made his Test debut for India. Recently, Arshdeep expressed his eagerness to play for his nation in all three formats of the game. The Punjab pacer said that cricketers begin their journey with the red ball. It is fun to bowl with the red ball as it swings around for longer periods than white balls. Here is what Arshdeep said while speaking at the 'Champions' session of Agenda AajTak "As a player, we all start with red balls. At the age-group level, we play only with the red ball. The first thing you hold is a red ball. It's fun bowling with the red ball because it swings at the start. And when you maintain it well, you can swing it when it's old also. It is a different joy. If you represent the country in all three formats, it's huge," The 25-year-old also recalled a conversation with Jasprit Bumrah, when the legendary pacer had asked him about his ambitions of playing the longest format for India. "I was speaking about this to Jasprit Bumrah once. He asked me, 'What is your mindset? Do you want to play all three formats?' I said, 'Yes, I am very keen on playing all three formats and I want to win more and more matches for India'," he added. Arshdeep has had a phenomenal run in the Duleep Trophy this season, claiming 13 wickets in three matches to end as one of the top five wicket-takers in the tournament. In 21 first-class games, Arshdeep has claimed 66 wickets at an average of 30.37. Arshdeep Deep has been a star for Indian cricket in the white-ball formats for the past few years, especially in the T20I format. He has been a match winner for the team in the shortest form of the game; recently he became the second highest wicket taker in T20I cricket for India; he is standing at number two with 95 wickets. He is now just one wicket away from replacing Yuzvendra Chahal at the top of the table. Arshdeep Singh made his debut for India back in 2022 against England, and since then he has been the key player for Team India. In his T20I career he has picked 96 wickets in just 60 matches. He made his ODI debut in the same year, but it was against New Zealand, but he has not played much in ODI cricket; he has just played 8 matches and has picked 12 wickets.
