Shakib Al Hasan, the star all-rounder of Bangladesh, is indeed in a serious trouble after the Dhaka court issued an arrest warrant against him in a cheque fraud case. Despite his capabilities on the cricket field, Shakib's career has been marred by several controversies throughout his time in the game, and this also could be added to that list. Shakib is not in the squad of Bangladesh for the Champions Trophy 2025 due to his failure to clear the second bowling Test which led to a ban on his bowling. He has again made headlines, this time for the wrong reasons. The court has found him guilty in a cheque fraud case. The additional chief metropolitan magistrate of Dhaka, Ziadur Rahman, ordered the issuance of the warrant. Three others are also involved in the case. The case includes Shakib's company, Al Hasan Agro Farm Ltd. It borrowed from IFIC Bank's Banani branch. Unfortunately, the farm could not return the money at the due date because of a fund crisis. According to the complainant, relationship officer Shahibur Rahman of IFIC Bank filed a complaint against Shakib and three others for failing to transfer the amount of 4,14,57000 BDT through two cheques by the due date. On December 15, Shahibur filed a case, and the Dhaka court set January 19 as the date for hearing. Since Shakib neither returned the money nor appeared in court, the latter had no alternative but to put an arrest warrant against him.
