To enhance the safety at every IPL venue, an Indian anti-drone system named Vajra Super Shot will be put into operation. The company spearheading this endeavor sustains itself as a steadfast ally of national security, especially in the wake of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir. Detecting drones operating in a 4-kilometre radius around the stadium, the system prevents any disruptive communication signals emanating from the presence of drones and thus neutralizing their possible threats from such activities. The anti-drone deployment system stretches across the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The restriction will be effective across all IPL 2025 matches. Cricket, along with the ways to secure it, is being highly discussed ever since the Pahalgam terror attack that took place on April 22. The news broke out today when Sourav Ganguly, ex-India captain and current BCCI President, voiced the thought of cutting all cricketing ties with Pakistan. Ganguly stated to the reporters: “100 per cent, India should do this (break ties with Pakistan). Strict action should be taken. It has turned out to be a joke that such things are happening every year. Terrorism cannot be tolerated.” Also Read: Kavya Maran’s Reaction Goes Viral After SRH Collapse vs MI According to BCCI vice president Rajeev Shukla, there are no chances of bilateral cricketing ties between India and Pakistan resuming anytime in the future. Both nations have not played a series since 2012, and Shukla has confirmed that this will not change. Shukla commented on Thursday: “We are with the victims, and we condemn it. Whatever our government says, we will do. We don’t play with Pakistan in a bilateral series because of the government’s stand. And we will not play with Pakistan in bilaterals going forward. But when it comes to ICC events, we play due to ICC engagement. ICC is also aware that whatever is happening, they will look into it.”
