Bangladesh Cricket Board president Aminul Islam will preside over the governing council of the Bangladesh Premier League. This decision was made in the first board meeting where various committees have been allocated among the board directors who will be in charge for the next four years after winning success in the recently concluded BCB election. The newly elected BCB formally announced the members of its new standing committees not devoid of a surprise given there was no room for vice president Faruque Ahmed in it. The decision followed a board meeting on Tuesday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. In behalf of the board directors, Iftekhar Rahman Mithu declared the standing committees in the presence of the newly elected board directors Shahnian Tanim, Abdur Razzak, Khaled Mashud Pilot and Amjad Hossain.
