Afghanistan's teen spin-bowling sensation Allah Ghazanfar has been ruled out from competitive cricket for a longer time. This will include the highly anticipated 2025 Champions Trophy and the Indian Premier League. Notably, Ghazanfar has joined the Mumbai Indians for the 2024 IPL season for INR 4.80 crores. On February 12, the Afghanistan Cricket Board announced that Ghazanfar has sustained an L4 vertebra fracture recently while touring Zimbabwe. It is quite unfortunate for the young talent, as he was all set to play his first-ever ICC tournament. Ghazanfar has made a remarkable start to his ODI career. In just 11 matches, the 18-year-old has taken 21 wickets at an impressive average of 13.57. However, he has now been replaced by Nangyal Kharoti in Afghanistan’s main squad.
