West Indies Akeal Hossain is ready to play in the current three-match ODI series against Bangladesh. The left-arm spinner will arrive in the country tonight to join up with the team for the second ODI of the series after losing the first game by 74 runs. Earlier BCB declared that they have added left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed to the ODI team for the current series against the West Indies. Spinners on both teams dominated the low and slow wicket prepared at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Saturday in the series' opening match and that has probably called for Nasum's inclusion. West Indies left-arm spinner Khary Pierre produced a masterful bowling performance taking 1 for 19 from his 10 overs while offspinner Roston Chase took two wickets for the visitors. Bangladesh's tweakers had sealed the match for the home side as Rishad Hossain and Tanvir Islam shared eight wickets between them. Jason Holder was learnt to arrive on October 21 to be a part of the team as he is likely to play in the T20Is. With captain Akeal Hossain included in the squad, West Indies will aim to recover quickly in the second ODI against Bangladesh after a disappointing series start where they were outplayed by the hosts. His experience and middle-over control might be the perfect injection of balance the visitors require on spin-friendly conditions. Together with the recruitment of Ramon Simmonds and the imminent arrival of Jason Holder, the West Indies seem to be building their team for the rest of the tour. The next match will be an important one as they seek to square the series and regain momentum.
