The Kolkata Knight Riders mentor Dwayne Bravo has joined the Trinbago Knight Riders, but as the head coach for the 2025 season of the Caribbean Premier League. Bravo succeeds Phil Simmons, who had to depart after the Bangladesh national team appointed him as the head coach of the team. Before guiding the TKR, Bravo had served the league as a crucial player since its inaugural season in 2013. He played 107 matches for 11 seasons and took 129 wickets. He has an impressive economy of 8.74. However, his association with TKR has been remarkable, as 9 of the 11 sessions were for the team. And out of the 9, four went on the winning cause. His personal fifth title came with the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, his only team apart from TKR. Notably, Bravo won it in 2021, the maiden title for the team. However, after getting the coaching opportunity from TKR, Bravo posted a heartfelt message on his social media. He wrote: "It's an honour to be given the opportunity to be head coach of TKR, a team that’s very close to my heart. I would like to personally thank Coach Phil Simmons for his time and commitment over the last few years, and now I look forward to this new challenge for me and my staff.” Well, he has been closely associated with the Knight Riders franchise in different tournaments. Last year, he served the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders as the head coach in the ILT20.
