The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has announced a historic white-ball series against Sri Lanka Cricket. The series will take place in the United Arab Emirates between March 13 and March 25. This will be the first time Afghanistan will host Sri Lanka in a bilateral series. The tour will include three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals. The series comes immediately after the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which makes it a significant match for both teams as they work towards upcoming tournaments. The six-match series serves as an important milestone which will enhance cricket relations between the two nations. The two teams will use this opportunity to evaluate their players through white-ball matches. The venue for T20I matches will be Sharjah while ODIs will take place in Dubai. The T20I matches will be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. The venue will host all three matches which are known for producing thrilling contests. After the T20I series, the teams will move to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium for the ODI matches. Dubai usually offers balanced conditions which enable both batters and bowlers to perform well when they demonstrate their skills. This event reflects the strength of our collaboration with Sri Lanka Cricket, and we are committed to further strengthening our relationship to provide a high-quality cricket experience in the future.” He talked about how competitive the tour matches would be. “Sri Lanka has been playing excellent cricket recently, and we look forward to what promises to be a competitive white-ball series between two quality sides. Additionally, the series is fundamental to our mission as we continue building our team and improving key areas. Our primary goal is to prepare for major ICC and ACC events, along with numerous bilateral commitments over the next two years.” Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket, also welcomed the tour. “Bilateral cricket is an important element in international cricket, and we are extremely happy to be part of this historic tour.
