Bumrah's Challenging IPL 2026 Campaign Meanwhile Bumrah is representing Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026. It has been a tough IPL for the Indian paceman as according to Mumbai Indians head coach Mahela Jayawardene Bumrah was nursing a minor injury which was sustained during the T20 World Cup and therefore, the team gave him adequate rest before the IPL season commenced. Due to the injury the franchise also gave him a few games to settle and that is why his pace and sharpness were not up to the mark in the initial part of the IPL. However Bumrah still picked 4 wickets in 13 games as opposition players treated him with respect due to his experience and stature. The coach further mentioned that the Indian paceman worked extremely hard on his fitness, workload management and rhythm throughout the season and from recent matches, he looks to be back at his very best.
