Abhishek Sharma smashed 141 from 55 deliveries against Punjab Kings to help his team chase down 246 on Saturday. The SRH opener got to his century in the 40th delivery with a single to long-on off Yuzvendra Chahal's delivery. As he reached his ton, Sharma pulled out a note from his pocket that read 'This one is for Orange Army [SRH's fans]'. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Star Sports India (@starsportsindia) Speaking about his celebration in the post-match presentation, the opener said that he felt it was going to be his day. "I wrote it today itself, because I usually wake up and write something. I got a random thought that if I do something today, that would be for Orange Army. Luckily, today I felt it was my day," he said. SRH came into this game after losing four matches in a row. They won their IPL 2025 season opener against the Rajasthan Royals but had lost their last four games to find themselves at the bottom of the table. "I'd be lying if I said there was no pressure. There is pressure if you don't do well in three or four innings, especially if your team's losing. But I never felt that we've been losing games, nobody in the team had a negative mindset, there was only positivity from everyone," he said. He further added: "All were waiting for an explosion like this from the SRH team. We had to break the four-match streak today to stay in the table," he said. Abhishek credits Yuvraj Singh and Suryakumar Yadav Abhishek Sharma also credited his mentor Yuvraj Singh and India's T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav for their constant support. "I think a special mention goes to Yuvi Paji (Yuvraj Singh) as well. I've been in touch with him, and I really appreciate his support. I also want to thank Mr. Suryakumar Yadav. He’s been in constant touch with me and has been there whenever I needed him. He knew this moment was coming soon, so a big thanks to him as well," he said.
