Cricket great Sachin Tendulkar, often referred to as 'The God of Cricket' surprised cricket fans on Monday as he engaged in a live interactive 'Ask Me Anything' (AMA) session on Reddit. The retired India captain and one of the greatest batsmen of all time answered a diverse set of questions ranging from serious cricket matters to light-based fan questions. During the session, a fan jokingly asked if it was actually Tendulkar answering. The fan wrote, "Sach mein Sachin Tendulkar hai kya? Please share a voice note for verification." Tendulkar replied with sarcasm instead of sending a voice message. He posted a photo of himself in front of a screen showing the comment of the fan, and put a cheeky caption: "Abhi Aadhar bhi bheju kya? (Should I send my Aadhaar card now?) " in reference to India's Aadhaar card. His lighthearted answer immediately made the AMA a talk of the social media, as people burst out laughing everywhere. He remembered witnessing England star Joe Root during his Test debut against India at Nagpur on December 13, 2012. England was in trouble at 119 for 4 when Root, appearing in his first Test in tough sub-continental conditions, stood out with his serenity and composure in batting. Tendulkar saluted Root's temperament and technique, noting his accurate footwork when facing spin bowlers and the pressure of not losing his cool. Root's dogged 73 runs off 229 deliveries took England to a fighting first-innings aggregate of 330. That innings, in Tendulkar's opinion, was an unmistakable indication that Root was going to be one of England's most dependable players and was to become a future leader. Root later went on to be England's most successful Test captain, vindicating Tendulkar's early judgment. The session revealed Tendulkar's lighter side, but also reminded the fans of his acuity in cricket and respect for players everywhere.
