The white ball bowler who was the most challenging to face for former Australia skipper Aaron Finch throughout his career has been revealed. After having played against some of the best fast bowlers in the world during his long career in international and franchise cricket it was no easy decision for the retired batsman to pick a winner from among the list. Finch represented Australia for over a decade and earned his international cap in 2011 with his last international game coming against Ireland in a T20 International during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup on 31st October 2022. Over the years. Finch has played against the finest batsmen and bowlers across formats and so Finch's opinion when presented with an opportunity to pick the best among some of the finest fast bowlers across international cricket was met with great enthusiasm by fans worldwide. In a video hosted by ESPNcricinfo, Finch was presented with an opportunity to pick the best white ball bowler from a list of a few world-class fast bowlers and his opinion. Big Names Eliminated During Finch's Selection Process The list for Finch included some of the greatest fast bowlers in international cricket which consisted of the names, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Mark Wood, Kagiso Rabada, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Chris Woakes, Jofra Archer, Tim Southee, Jason Holder, Trent Boult, Stuart Broad and Mohammad Amir. The selection process was held in a knockout format where Finch had to pick one bowler over another until a winner was chosen from the lot. Mohammed Shami was among the first names to be discussed but Finch went ahead and picked the South African pace bowler Kagiso Rabada, thereby eliminating Shami from the discussion. Rabada then progressed through as he beat Pakistan's pace duo Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf as the selectors' choice over the Pakistani fast bowlers. The South African pace-bowler's bowling was good enough to continue as he advanced further in the discussion among the others and was tipped by many fans to be Finch's eventual winner as well, but that was not to be. Woakes was exceptional and managed to secure a place ahead of numerous esteemed bowlers. Woakes beat England pace bowler Tim Southee, the West Indian all-rounder Jason Holder and England's Jofra Archer in the last round of discussions to finish first among the best white-ball bowler faced by Aaron Finch. The decision highlighted the respect Woakes has garnered throughout his international career for his immaculate swing bowling his accuracy, and his knack of bowling well under pressure and in crunch situations of the game. However, this could also turn out to be a controversial decision considering the competition that was present on the list with other lethal bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah, Shaheen Afridi, Kagiso Rabada and Jofra Archer, which is expected given their incredible career path so far. However this is Finch's personal decision that also portrays the difficulty they would have presented for the batters all across the globe.
