Former cricketer and current analyst Aakash Chopra believes that the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) should make a strong push to acquire wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. Rishabh Pant, known as one of India’s most dynamic wicket-keeper-batters, will be available in the IPL 2025 mega auction after being released by Delhi Capitals (DC) from their retention list. Now, Aakash Chopra, the former Indian cricketer turned commentator, has advised RCB to aggressively pursue Pant in the mega auction. Chinnaswamy Stadium due to its short boundaries and flat pitch. He further suggested that RCB should go all-in for Pant, even if it means bidding over INR 25 crores. Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel said: “Will you go towards Rishabh Pant? In my opinion, they should go towards him. Again a small ground, it will suit him as well. Please go for him even if you have to go till ₹25 crore.” He further added: “If you feel you don't need Rishabh Pant and need KL Rahul because he is a local boy and knows this ground as well, he will also like the small ground and flat pitch. So you can also try to bring him with you. I don't think this team will go that aggressively for Shreyas Iyer because they will leave him for Delhi.”
