On day 2 of the third Test at the Gabba, Brisbane, during the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy, Australian spinner Nathan Lyon was spotted using a bat with a sticker that says "A Sport for All." The phrase was written both in English and Braille, supporting Cricket Australia's initiative of supporting players with a disability. Nathan Lyon has been using the sticker on his bats during the last two Tests. Lyon has been with CA's initiative of encouraging the 21% of Australians who live with a disability to love and play cricket. He has also donated three of his bats that have signs of his Australian teammates. Those bats will go in the auction to support the National Cricket Inclusion Championships (19-24 January 2025, Marchant Park, Brisbane). A sport for all ❤️You might have seen Nathan Lyon sporting a unique sticker on his bat over the last two Tests. This sticker reads ‘A Sport for All’ - both in English and in braille. pic.twitter.com/PXOXQmA5jq — Cricket Australia (@CricketAus) December 17, 2024 Read also: Ind vs Aus: Steve Smith Redemption in the slip costing KL Rahul's wicket on Day 4 at Gabba India vs Australia 3rd Test match summary India won the toss and decided to field first. But rain-affected Day 1 let India bowl 13 full overs until the stumps was called. On day 2, Australia was all over India with runs, especially Travis Head, who scored 154 runs, before he left to Jasprit Bumrah. Steve Smith, who was suffering from a run draught scored his 33rd Test century. On Day 3, Alect Carey (70) scored a half-century, piling 445 runs on the board. Bumrah was the only positive for India with the ball as he took a six-fer. A good support from the Bengal prodigy Akash Deep from the other end went wicketless on Day 2, but cleared Alex Crey on Day 3. Coming to bat, India suffered a humiliating batting collapse as India lost 4 wickets on Day 3, scoring just 50 runs. KL Rahul has been the only positive fighting hard all alone when the other end has been absolutely unwatchable. However, KL got a life off Pat Cummins as Steve Smith dropped him at the slip on the very first ball of Day 4. Adding more distress, captain Rohit Sharma failed again to register an early exit, as Ravindra Jadeja walks in. He gave good support to KL who departs just before the Lunch, scoring 84. Jads has the young Nitish Reddy as the former cored his 6th Test half century against Australia, and Tea has been called. Rain has interrupted, adding further delay to the game. India needs 66 more runs to avoid a follow-on.
