An old video of Prasidh Krishna has recently gone viral on social media where he was seen breaking the stumps of Tanush Kotial with an un-freaking-believable slower delivery. The match happens to be in the 2024 Irani Cup, where Krishna was representing the Rest of India (ROI) against Mumbai. In the video, as seen, Prasidh delivered a straight half-volley that bounced right in front of Kotian's bat and then hit his stumps by missing his bat for a few millimeters. Even Kotian stood there in surprise. Well, Mumbai won the Irani Cup after 27 years, thanks to 222 runs from Sarfaraz Khan. Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 97 runs, while Shreyas Iyer contributed 57. Tanush Kotian also scored 64 runs, with Mumbai piling up 537 in the first innings. Coming to bat, ROI was restricted to 416 runs, with Abhimanyu Easwaran scoring 191 and Dhruv Jurel 93. Mumbai had declared after scoring 329 in the second innings. But ROI didn't have enough time to bat. The match was declared drawn but Mumbai was given the Irani Cup based on the first inning's score. Currently, Prasidh was touring with the Indian A team for for their unofficial ODI series against South Africa A at Rajkot. There, he took five wickets after playing all three matches. South Africa A defeated India A by 73 runs, and this saved a whitewash. India won the series by 2-1 with Ruturaj Gaikwad awarded the player of the series.
