Nitish Kumar Reddy made a resounding comeback into domestic cricket with an impressive display as he bowled a brilliant hat-trick for Andhra against Madhya Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 Super League match on Friday. The match was staged at the ground at Dy Patil Academy, Ambi, Pune on 12th December 2025. Nitish Kumar Reddy made an immediate impact on return to the Andhra side after appearing for the IND vs SA series. Andhra had struggled with just 113 on board and needed some early wickets to be in the match. Andhra skipper Ricky Bhui brought in Nitish Kumar Reddy in the third over itself, and the result changed dramatically for Andhra. Hat-trick in the 3rd Over Reddy struck on the fourth, fifth, and sixth deliveries, taking out three batters from MP in no time. Reddy’s speed, accuracy, and seam movement on the deck left MP’s opening batsmen stunned. The list of wickets fell as: Nitish struck on the fourth ball of the over, dismissing Harsh Gawali. The bowler delivered the ball, which hit the stumps as Gawali was walking back after scoring 5(8). It put immediate pressure on Madhya Pradesh. Harpreet Singh came in next but could only survive for exactly one ball. Nitish bowled a clever ball outside off, and Harpreet edged it straight to captain Ricky Bhui at slip. Ricky took it beautifully, giving Nitish his second wicket, and that was for the second consecutive ball as well. As the crowd began cheering with more fervor, it was Rajat Patidar who stepped up for the hat-trick ball. Nitish bowled it straight and full, beating Patidar completely as he sent the stumps flying. Patidar had been given a first-ball duck, and Andhra players were seen swarming around Nitish. These three wickets put MP in serious trouble at an early stage of the chase. Reddy's incredible hat-trick not only lifted Andhra's morale but also reminded everyone about the importance of the 22-year-old as a multi-skilled player.
