The 21-year-old young prodigy Danish Malewar scored a phenomenal hundred in the final of Ranji Trophy 2024-25 against Kerala at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium. The Vidarbha batter is playing just the 14th innings of his first-class career, but his ability and skills makes him appear as an experienced player. Vidarbha had a terrible start to their innings as they lost three early wickets, losing Parth Rekhade on just the second ball of the innings, followed by the wicket of Darshan Nalkande who came in as No. 3. Nalkande's dismissal brought Danish Malewar to the crease and 37 balls after his arrival at the crease, Vidarbha lost their third wicket in the name of Dhruv Shorey. This wicket forced the in-form batter, Karun Nair, to come out for batting at 5. Danish Malewar and Karun Nair both steered the Vidarbha innings, and the duo added 146* runs off 272 balls before the tea break. In the final over before tea, Danish smashed a boundary off Sarwate to bring up his second century in the FC cricket, the first the final of Ranji Trophy.
