Abhishek Sharma made a massive record on Sunday (November 30) in Punjab's third Elite Group A game of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 in Hyderabad. The left-handed opener smashed 148 runs against Bengal, and he is now only the second Indian batter to hit over 15 sixes in a T20 match. His power-packed knock has placed him in an elite list of Indian cricketers who have produced massive six-hitting shows in the shortest format. Punit slammed 17 sixes during his unbeaten 146 against Mizoram on January 13, 2021, in Chennai. He has now been joined by Abhishek, who struck 16 sixes during his 148-run knock. His score is also the second-highest individual score by an Indian in T20 cricket. Abhishek played fearless cricket right from the start. He had reached his fifty in just 12 balls and completed his hundred in just 32 balls. His innings came against a Bengal attack comprising Mohammed Shami and Akash Deep. Abhishek kept hitting clean shots all around the ground and helped Punjab post a strong total.
