And then getting a century there opened the door for the upcoming Bangladeshi cricketers to achieve so, as he became the first Bangladeshi cricketer to ever get a century in his 100th Test match. With his, he entered an elite list featuring great names like Ricky Ponting, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith and Gordon Greenidge. Mushfiqur became the 11th international cricketer to get a ton on his 100th Test. The last man was Australia's David Warner. He scored his ton in 2022 against South Africa in Melbourne.
